I like to create...something once in a while anyway and yet am just lazy enough not to want to devote days to said creation. In beading I think I have found my match. It's very inexpensive ( especially if you like to cannibalize your old stuff) and after you've learned a few techniques it's just ephemerally fun! As you can tell earrings are my strong point. I've a long way to go but it's an interesting and relaxing way to spend an evening.
This is my most complicated effort to date but once I get a few more techniques down ( they involve hammer and anvil!) I hope to graduate to some really exciting wirework...It's all in my effort to live up to Laura's "fancy" standards ;)

Wow! Love it! I've dabbled in the jewelry domain a bit myself and find it relaxing and creative! Keep it up and 'bling' is ALWAYS a wonderful gift! teehee
Do you suose there were any relatives of ours with the Donner party? We do like to "cannibalize" (recycle).
If we did I doubt if we actually ATE anybody else...we just figured out what to do with their cast off clothes ;)
Oooooooh. Pretty. I love that one at the bottom--great job.
And Laura and you should get together some time...
Love it, I know where I am going when I finally get some free time.
Those are gorgeous. I think you've possibly made more earrings than I own (unless you count the little studs). My ears are frustratingly sensitive, so a lot of jewelry I can only wear for a few hours (like to church), or my earlobes will be burning for days.
Love the jewelry. I wish we were neighbors so we could share. Read your comment about David Gates and Bread. Loved them. Found out he is from here when we moved to Tulsa. He's well loved, lots of Aubreys.
